What is the Average Penis Size?
Several factors come into play when trying to answer a question such as what is the average penis size? Here are a few to think about and explore.
- Age of the male demographic in question?
- Was the study conducted by subjects or medical personnel?
- Race of the subjects tested? Does this even influence results?
There are many studies out there and many differ when it comes to reporting results. The main reason many of these studies have different outcomes is the control factor.
Research conducted in a controlled test study usually will have more accurate findings when compared to independent studies by lesser known facilities or groups with limited resources.
Men have always wanted to know what is the average penis size. We have researched the subject using data from well known and reputable sources who have done controlled studies.
- They used a demographic of only adult males who have already gone through puberty.
- The measuring was conducted by personnel holding the research as compared to subjects measuring themselves and reporting the results.
- Subjects came from diverse race backgrounds
These are important conditions that sometimes go unreported by testing groups. Groups who allow men to measure their own penis usually come back with higher averages. This is due to men not knowing how to properly measure themselves and also the fact that men usually will fight for every centimeter when it comes to their penis. It’s like women fighting for an extra inch in height or lesser years in age.
Chart Shows What is the Average Penis Size
As you can see from the chart, the consensus research data has found that the average adult male penis ranges from 5 1/2″ to 5 3/4″ with 23.49% of the male subjects tested.
Coming in at a very close second position at 23.9% of men tested was the very next size range of 5 3/4″ to 6″.
When factoring in race these studies could not determine or come to a consensus average. More in depth studies just factoring in race would be more accurate with a larger and equal sampling of patients from each race.
However there was enough of a consensus to determine that Asian men when compared to White, Black and Hispanic males were slightly smaller in length.
The main focus was on length in these studies, we will follow up with studies which take into account girth as well to better determine what is the average penis size.
